![]() If I ever want to do that I’ll play fortnite…and I’m not going to play fortnite:) ![]() This is a racing game first and foremost, I don’t really care what dance I’ll be able to do when I win a game. I’ve got quite a bit of hours in the game and I’ve yet to acquire anything that I would actually want to resemble my “online personality”. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s awesome to have the ability to customize your character to reflect your own personality and taste…but I don’t think wheelspins are the way to accomplish this. I’ve had so many spins that I was awarded 3 items of clothing or apparel and I’m sitting here thinking…I’ve been racing for how long…for that!? Either way, I understand the Wheelspin is a gamble, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose…sometimes you get a car, sometimes you get shoes. Such as: You reached level 20, you now have access to these items! Hey, you’ve reached level 30, new items available! OR at a least change in the algorithm on the Super Wheelspins where each individual wheel is dedicated to one particular item…one wheel for clothes/emotes, one wheel for cars/credits and one wheel for influence/skill points. I could imagine a scenario where clothing, emotes, horns are awarded in bundles via leveling. The wheelspin aspect of the game should be a chance to advance or enhance your progress within the game by being awarded cars or credits…and would be nice if influence, skill points, extra spins or even a level-up would be quite nice. You can obviously see in the disappointment in their reactions in the videos…it’s not enjoyable to lose a wheelspin to a horn sound. What I’ve noticed in streams, youtube videos and in my own experience is that it’s such a downer to win certain items on wheelspins…particularly clothing, emotes and horns. ![]() So, wheelspins have become a topic of many frustrations and complaints and I’m not going to complain too much…just have an suggestion or 2 that is purely my opinion…and will probably not happen:) CONGRATULATIONS AND A JOB WELL DONE TO THE WHOLE TEAM! Having a great time with all the races and of course collecting and upgrading cars I’ll probably never sit in, in my life time. So either Playground Games are planning to add microtransactions to the wheelspins, or they just didn’t think this through.įirst off, the game is absolutely beautiful and a blast to play. The only type of game that profits from this is a F2P game, that uses that “oh god finally” compulsion to create addiction to that feeling of relief, a high basically, and then makes you spend copious amounts of money to get that feeling again and again. Compared to FH3 when my emotions would range from indifferent to happy, now it ranges from outraged to “oh god finally”, which is not happiness. For Playground Games - that is bad game design. In that exact moment, I feel like throwing the controller at the screen. 90% of the time, I see these extraordinary rewards - 500k CR, a very rare Ferrari LM, some other 10M+ CR car, and then, I kid you not, literally, I get 2 horns and some pants. In all of the super wheelspins I’ve opened, I think I was happy only for 3 or 4 of them, so 10% of the time. The biggest problem for me are the super wheelspins. I know that 80% of the time I will get something completely useless from it, and I am occasionally happy to get 150k+ CR. In FH4, for regular wheelspins I am more or less indifferent. In FH3 I was impartial to them, I would just by happy to get CR, indifferent when I would get a car, and ecstatic when I would get a HE car. This overall makes me hate wheelspins more. Overall, I feel that by adding horns, emotes, and clothes to the wheelspins, it just makes it more likely to win something that I do not want, so effectively increase the chance of an unfavorable outcome. I have opened roughly 30-40 super wheelspins in total, and 100+ regular wheelspins.
